Lights out on the Chesapeake Bay.
No one seemed to have a grudge against the keeper of the Devil’s Elbow light near Crisfield, Maryland, but someone killed him, leading Max and Allison Hurlock to the murky world of rumrunners, moonshiners, spiritualism, and corrupt government agents.
Based on a real life case of a murdered Chesapeake Bay lightkeeper, Death at the Lighthouse reveals the world of the Chesapeake Bay in the 1920s. With rumrunners and bootleggers everywhere, the Coast Guard patrols the waters for lawbreakers. But one boat seems to have the ability to disappear and a spiritualist apparently communicates with the dead until a famous magician gets involved. Although this case is right in Max and Allison’s back yard, things are anything but familiar.
